My daughters made me friendship bracelets in the colors of my favorite EDH decks.

Thats really cool, I'll share what I made for my Father. Even though he doesn't play the game he knows how and understands the concept/appreciates the game.

I'll give some background, his real job is as a reference archivist, and he almost became a monk a long time ago. He is also Quaker and thus a pacifist, so I tried to work that in.

This isn't the one I gave him, its the crappier first attempt. I almost have this down to an art though. Though I think I wil stop doing black bordered cards since it makes it 10 times harder.

Flavorwise, He found some old inscriptions while working in the monistary library and uses them to pacify everything.

Yes its printed onto a real magic card.

That is most awesome! I might actually do that for a few of my relatives who actually get my peculiar cardboard hobby. Thanks for sharing with us.

Both are very cool gifts to receive and give, respectively!

No Father's Day stories from me, but there was a father-son team at our 2HG draft yesterday, which was touching.

I got poems, pictures*, a keyring & lots of hugs and kisses. They can be cute when they want to be. :D

*My 3 year old is "studying" Claude Monet, the impressionist painter, so she gave me a picture of a bunch of flowers in impressionist style. It's pretty amazing for a 3yo!

As a dad, I will warn prospective fathers:

Children drain MTG funds and game time.

Also: Most people should not have children.

Most people have children and don't know why.

I love my kids, and people may think I am horrible for saying this. But I warn everyone... Seriously: Most people make bad parents and shouldn't have them. Don't do it unless you REALLY can make your life SECONDARY to another person's.

By the same token, most people shouldn't marry/have relationships. Use your freakin' hand and be happy. (Speaking as a man happily married for 15 yrs.)

Happy Fathers' Day! :D
